Q. How much will I receive for my gift card/certificate?
A. If we accept your gift card/certificate, we will pay 75% of the current value for valid unexpired gift cards/certificates. And we will pay 25% of the pre-expiration value for expired gift cards/certificates.
Q. When will I learn if cash4giftcards has accepted my gift card/certificate?
A. You can check your gift card/certificate's offer status at any time by clicking on the check my cash4giftcards status link found at the top of the homepage.
Use the email address you provided during your gift
card/certificate submission to login to the status page. If we
don't accept your gift card/certificate within a few days,
please check back periodically. As our gift
card/certificate inventory needs change, we may be able to
accept your gift card/certificate offer at a later
time.
Note: If your gift card is not from a
national / multi-regional retailer OR if your gift card�s
terms and conditions are too restrictive OR if your gift card
is not in high demand in the marketplace, we may not be able to purchase it at the above rates of 75% (for unexpired gift cards) and 25% (for expired gift cards). However, we may offer to purchase your gift card at a lower rate.
Q. I would like to swap my gift card/certificate for another gift card/certificate. Do you offer a gift card/certificate trading service?
A. At this time we only accept gift cards/certificates for cash (we pay 75% of the current value for valid, unexpired gift cards/certificates and 25% of the pre-expiration value for expired gift
cards/certificates).
Q. How do I get paid?
A. If we accept your valid, unexpired gift
card/certificate you will receive a money order or cashier's check for 75% of the current value of the gift card/certificate. If we accept your expired gift card/certificate, you will receive 25% of the
pre-expiration value of the gift card/certificate.
Q. How long does the entire process take?
A. Most gift
card/certificate offers are reviewed within a few days of your submission. If we accept your gift card/certificate then it is up to you to accept our terms and conditions and mail us your gift card/certificate. Once we receive your gift card/certificate we will attempt to validate your gift card/certificate. Once validated, a payment in the form of a money order or cashier's check will be sent to you. On average the entire process takes approximately 4-6 weeks.
Q. Why does it take on average approximately 4-6 weeks to process my gift card transaction?
A. Once we receive your gift card/certificate, there are two primary reasons why the processing of your transaction may on average take 4-6 weeks to process: (1) Because we are the only website that consistently offers to purchase unexpired gift cards/certificates for 75% of their current value, regardless of the gift card/certificate size and for almost any merchant, we deal with a high volume of transactions. Therefore, very high volume periods will naturally add to our overall processing time; and (2) In order to protect ourselves against gift card fraud, we require a longer processing time than you will find on our competitors' websites. If there is a potential fraud problem with a gift card/certificate being offered to us for sale, this additional processing time affords us the opportunity to fully investigate the history of each gift card/certificate. Our goal is to make sure that each gift card/certificate we accept is valid and that we are purchasing gift cards/certificates from legitimate sources.
